Responsibilities
The Jefferson County Noxious Weed Department is responsible for noxious weed control in Jefferson County. Our efforts extend from county line to county line and includes all county road right of ways.
We are also responsible for the control and eradication of noxious weeds on private land as well. This is done through public notice and first hand contact with the landowners. Generally we will try to send letters to remind landowners of the problem.
We offer assistance through education,
cost share chemicals, and equipment for rent.
