Jefferson County also participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). A floodplain development permit is required for all development in the floodplain.

Elevation Certificates:
Beginning today, November 19, 2013, our office will be providing the public with a list of elevation certificates that have been submitted on or after the above date. You can click on this link to see the list. If you would like to obtain a copy of a specific elevation certificate, please call our office at 785-403-0000 Option 3.
