Emergency Base Rates

Service Definition Rate
ALS-2 Any ambulance transport which requires Advanced Life Support (ALS) and three or more advanced medical procedures or interventions be completed by the technicians in the course of the patient treatment. This care may only be provided by a paramedic.

ALS-E Any ambulance transport which requires the use of Advanced Life Support (ALS) assessment, equipment or care during the course of patient treatment. This care may be provided by EMT-I or paramedic.

BLS-E Any ambulance transport which requires Basic Life Support assessment, equipment or care during the course of patient treatment. This level of care may be provided by an EMT, EMT-I, or a paramedic.

Non-Emergency Base Rates

Service Definition Rate
ALS The transport of any patient from one medical facility to another medical facility that requires Advanced Life Support (ALS) care, monitoring or maintenance for the duration of transport. The patient must be medically stable and the reason for transfer must include the benefit of equipment or services unavailable to the patient at his or her current medical facility. This transport is not an emergency; it may be scheduled in advance. The transferring facility is required to complete a PCS form that will be provided at the time of service.

BLS The transport of any patient from one medical facility to another medical facility that requires Basic Life Support (BLS) care for the duration of transport. The patient must be medically stable and the reason for transfer must include the benefit of equipment or services unavailable to the patient at his or her current medical facility. This transport is not an emergency; it may be scheduled in advance. The transferring facility is required to complete a PCS form that will be provided at the time of service.

Other Services

Service Definition Rate
Mileage* The amount charged per loaded mile of transport to the closest appropriate receiving facility. This mileage is calculated from the location of transport to the destination facility and is rounded to the nearest whole mile.

Special Events - Flat Rate
A staffed ambulance that has been requested and scheduled to stand by on the location of a community, social, or sporting event. This unit is dedicated to the event for the entire time period required or requested. The event is 3 hours or less in duration.
$225 (min. 3 hours)
Special Events - Hourly Rate
A staffed ambulance that has been requested and scheduled to stand by on the location of a community, social, or sporting event. This unit is dedicated to the event for the entire time period required and requested. Hourly rate is for every hour beyond the flat rate 3 hour minimum.

*Disclaimer: In the event that a patient is transported to a facility of their choice rather than the closest appropriate facility, the patient’s insurance company may deny the mileage claim. If this occurs, the patient will be personally responsible to pay for the mileage difference between the facility of choice and the closest appropriate facility.
