The Jefferson County Community Events Calendar!
Since most of our County Calendar entries revolve around governmental meetings, meetings, more meetings, and paying your taxes, we thought it'd be more fun to set up a calendar that revolves around community happenings.
The Community Events Calendar is integrated into the
County Calendar and events will show up under the Community Events header in months an event exists (you'll probably have to jump to February to check it out right now).
The calendar isn't so much geared toward regular club meetings or school events, but rather on some of those out-of-the-ordinary events that randomly happen in Jefferson County, for example blood drives, Threshing Bees, tractor parades, flu shot clinics, volunteer events, intellectual lectures, special meetings, flash mobs, etc.
The events will appear on the County's homepage, and will also be sent out via email or text alerts for those who sign up for "Community Events" under the Calendar category of our
Notify Me section.
But we need your help! Thus far, we have one definite & one pending
event. If you know of something coming up, please email me at
kjordan@jfcountyks.com. Please understand that we won't necessarily post all suggested events, but we will take them into consideration.
