On the JeffCo Juice, the first Friday of each month will be devoted to recapping some of the info we're getting from State & Federal government. And there might be some additional fun stuff along the way.
Most notably, February is American Heart Month & Black History Month. It's also National Bird-Feeding Month. We celebrate birthdays of Abraham Lincoln (12th), Thomas Edison (11th), Charles Dickens (7th), & George Washington (22nd).
- The Kansas Department of Health & Environment would like to remind us of some general good practices for heart health.
- The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention still wants you to get your flu shot. For local information, contact the Jefferson County Health Department at (785) 863-2447.
- The Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks has information up for late winter hunters (snow geese may be taken through April 30).
- The Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office is warning that 4 out of 5 child carseats are installed incorrectly. Have yours inspected locally!
