Notify Me? News Flash? Calendar? What's the Difference?

Posted on January 12, 2011 at 3:43 PM by Kristen Jordan

One of the features on the website is Notify Me, a page where you can sign up for email & text notifications for various County departments & topics.  Don't be intimidated by the huge list!  Here's a quick guide to knowing what to sign up for.

Notify Me- These topics are for activity-specific notifications & do not show up under "County New" on the homepage.  The only communication we have with you is through an email or text message.

News Flash- These items are organized by County department & could be about regular meetings, public announcements, or any number of other News Flash worthy items.  The items posted under News Flash will show up under "County News" on the homepage.  Note:  Emergency Alerts are located under News Flash & are worth signing up for!

Calendar- These lists will notify you of events coming up for various departments including the Commissioners.  Each calendar event will typically include additional information about agendas, location accessibility, & contact information.  Most departments will have calendars for department-specific events or trainings.  The Courthouse Calendar will be updated with Courthouse holidays, general County business, & emergency Courthouse closings.
