Healthy Child
Public Health LogoAll parents want their children to be healthy, but we all know kids don't come with manuals.  The Health Department has many resources available to promote healthy children.

Immunizations / Vaccinations

Vaccines work to safeguard children from illnesses and death caused by infectious diseases. Vaccines protect children by helping prepare their bodies to fight often serious and potentially deadly diseases. For more information, please visit our immunization page.

School Health Program

School Health Program provides professional nursing assistance in county schools to meet state health requirements and direction of student health needs during the school day.

Well Child Assessments
Well Child Assessments are available for children under 21 years of age whose parents / guardians would like such an assessment for Child Care requirements, school entry, or EPSDT screenings. For Healthwave and Medicaid covered services, visit the Kansas Health Policy Authority website. For assessment types and costs, see our assessment fee schedule.

Women, Infant & Child (WIC) Nutrition Program
The Women, Infant, and Child (WIC) Nutrition Program provides supplemental nutrition to qualifying pregnant women, post partum women, infants, and children through the age of five. Please visit our WIC page for additional information or contact information to apply for the program.
