About Speech Therapy
Speech language pathologists, or speech therapists (ST), specialize in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing difficulties. These disorders are usually the result of trauma such as surgery or stroke.
Speech therapists also help retrain patients with breathing, swallowing, and muscle control issues.
