Zoning Appeals

 Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA)

Zoning Appeals are brought before the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). The BZA hears the following requests: variances, special exceptions, and appeals to alleged errors in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the Zoning Administrator in enforcing the Zoning Regulations. The responsibilities, powers, and duties of the BZA are outlined in Article 27 of the Zoning Regulations.

All applicants requesting an interpretation, variance or exception to the Zoning Regulations should consult with Staff prior to submitting their final application. The purpose of the consultation is to advise the applicant of his rights and responsibilities in the filing of such application.
