Are there grants to start a business?: The best answer to that is no. There are, however, many ways to finance a business, whether it's a start-up or an existing business. To learn more about financing your business, please contact the Economic Development director.

1. I want to start or relocate or expand a business in Jefferson County, what do I do?: First, arrange to visit with the director. This may involve discussing past experiences, availability of financing, credit history, site acquisition, incentive programs, etc. We can facilitate all those needs. Contact Information.

3. My group wants to hold an event at Lake Perry, who do we contact?: Depending upon where you plan to hold your event, you'll need to coordinate with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at (785) 597-5144 or with the Perry State Park Office at (785) 246-3449.
