Linda M. Buttron is currently serving the citizens of Jefferson County as Clerk / Election Officer. She was appointed to this position in February 2000 and officially elected in November 2000. Prior to that time, Linda had been employed by Jefferson County since 1982.
Linda has lived in Jefferson County all of her life. She was raised south of Oskaloosa near the current location of Perry Reservoir. When the lake was built, her family moved to the Dunavant area as their farm land was taken by the Corp of Engineer's for the lake.
Linda and her family are currently residents of the Nortonville Community.
